Neurosurgeon Appointment

WendeWWende Posts: 51
Hi After 6 weeks of chiropractic care which involved me being stretched, giving deep massage, being adjusted, tens (on 2 occasions which made the pain worse in my lumbar area), & laser therapy ("once" for soft tissue healing which didnt do anything). I went to see the neurosurgeon I expressed the need for this to not keep happening to me I would like to feel my big toe when i am sitting down, and to feel my big toes and the bottom of my left foot when I walk anywhere. I haven't been to work in 7 weeks now. I explained my symptoms besides my foot and toe(s) are something in the beginning of my buttcrack hurts I thought it was the tailbone but the neuros assistant thinks it is the S1 or one of those. And I expressed the problem with my neck or upper back. She thinks is muscle related which it very well could be I have been thinking its from sleeping wrong but this ones been going on 7 days now. And I have had 4 flares of that in the past 7 weeks. She did her exam which made things hurt worse then they did previous to that moment. Than the neurosurgeon came in and said since my mri is 10 months old and things can change for better and worse in 10 months, he would like me to get a new one. So next wednesday april 15 I go for a new mri in the morning and then upstairs to find out the results of the new mri. Hopefully I will know what is wrong or not wrong. Hopefully things have gotten better. And hopefully last but, not least. That I get to know what to do to fix it. Sorry its long but, I had to get it all out! :)

Thanks for listening,
