So does anyone else have Cauda Equina Syndrome caused by scar tissue? What did you do?
I have been having these CES problems since the end of January (or I finally noticed)and it is the retention kind where the sphincters clamp shut and I have loss of feeling in my bladder, bowels and everything in between (if you know what I mean).
There doesn't seem to be any urgency on the Ortho's part or the pain doc because it is just scar tissue from a previous microdiscectomy. My EMG doesn't show new nerve damage just old nerve damage and a slow response in S1. Incidentally, when I injured my back 5 years ago I had CES too.
So what things has anyone else done to make CES go away or improve? I am going to have anterior lumbar fusion with hardware next month pending ins approval and I am hoping that it will solve a lot of my problems with CES and my other problems like the instability in my spine, hypermobile SI joint and the 3 other herniated discs. Am I being too hopeful?
