Well, its been determined, I am now facing a three level thoracic fusion. If you have read my previous posts, won't bore you. Here is the bio. 34 year old retired cop after on duty motorcycle crash. ACDF's C6-7 July 07, C7-8 Feb 09. Full 360 Ant/post L4-5 L5-S1. Legs gave out 1 week after last surgery last month fell on my stairs with my daugther. Found out two weeks ago I have severely herniated T-7-8, T-8-9, and T-9-10. My doctor has requested three level fusion and awaiting authorization. My pain is unGodly and by far the worst I have ever had, even my low back surgery. Everything I have read, although hard, Thoracic surgery has gone well for most people. My surgeon's assistanc said I will be in the hospital for 7 days unless something goes bad. I have heard the pain is pretty bad for thoracic surgeries. I hate hospitals and am scared. I feel like I am screwing with fate having 3 previous surgeries.
Has anyone had similiar surgery. What should I expect. I was playing golf three months after my low back surgery. Is that possible with the Thoracic.
