Howdy all,

My name's Barbara and I live in Wyoming. I was diagnosed with two herniated discs, C5-6 and C6-7. Next week, April 24, I'll undergo an ACDF. I can't wait for it to be over.

In floating through the Internet looking for information, I found this Web site. What a fantastic resource. Information is one thing, but finding a site that offers moral support is another. There's a lot of comfort on this site!

  • Welcome to the site! It's helped me out a lot in my toughest times. I can only hope I've helped others out there as well. It is a fantastic site for moral support and, simply. genuine human understanding. I wish you all the best on your upcoming surgery. And never forget, you're not alone in this. This is a great forum to ask for input from people who've been(or are) in your exact shoes.
    Be well,

There is plenty of information about cervical surgeries.
I have had two ACDF , first C5/C6 and then C6/C7. Both of these surgeries were very successful and for the most part I no longer have cervical problems. The only time I do is if I overdo things. The other thing is I have limited range of motion up/down and left/right.
The Spine-Health site contains many valuable articles and videos.
Here is some information regarding cervical surgeries.

Here are some videos on cervical surgeries:

    Cervical Surgery 2
I hope you find this information valuable. I have always believed that when you are going in for spinal surgery, you should do as much research as possible so that you basically become the expert on what procedures will be done
