I just wanted to say Hi to everyone on here and thank everyone for their support and encouraging words as well as sharing all the experiences whether good or bad. I had an accident at work and fell and herniated my L-4 L-5. I had disckectomy in Sept 08 with no relief. My legs hurt like crazy. Seems as if there is never any relief whether I walk or just lie around. So we tried ESI's which may things worse. I had aquatic PT before surgery with no relief, I had PT after surgery with no relief. I also had TENS unit and that was a joke as well. So my Neurosurgeon said let's try Pain Clinic. So, I went and got evaluated and she said I would be great candidate for SCS. (I had never heard of it bu she gave me booklet and DVD and I have done a ton of research and this is how I gound this site. The Pain Clinic changed me from Vico and Soma to Avinza and Zanflez. Well they did not work so next visit she put me on Kadian 2x a day and the zanaflex. Then they made Psych appoinment and I passed it (all 4 hours of it. Then I went back after that and they kept me on Kadian 2X a day and Zanaflex 1@ bedtime. I told about all of the breakthrough pain but they did not want to give me anything due to trial hopefully coming up.
Thanks for everything you guys discuss and for not sugar coating it and being honest.
