Hello everyone. My name is Roxanne and I have suffered from back problems since I was in my 20s. I am now 52 so that is an awful lot of years with pain meds. I had a surgery in 2001 that only worked for 6 months. From there it was lots of shots and nerve blocks that really did no good. 10 months ago I moved to Cleveland Ohio and became involved with Cleveland Clinic Dr.'s. I meant my surgeon in March and he said he was sure he could help me. April 3rd we did the surgery. The surgeon told my guy that once he got in there he did not know how I was even walking and the pain I was in had to be extreme. My 3 hour surgery turned into a 5 hour surgery because he had to correct alot of what my last surgeon did.
My question now is I am three weeks post op and still in pain and have some real bad days. I also had no direction on what amount of activity I should be doing at this stage. I do walk but when I tried to do a little house work the other day I wiped myself out and suffered for 2 days for it. Can anyone help me here so I am not so confused.
