I had disk replacment 3 weeks ago at C4-C5, still some neck pain however prior to sugery had numbness in both hands, both feet and legs, weakness both legs and was getting difficult to walk also had numbness in abdominal area. 8 days after surgery went back to work (desk job), weakness has improved by 85%, some numbness still but is improving. My disk was extruded and was compressing spinal cord at C5 level by 45-50%. Glad I waited to have replacement verses fusion. I highly recommend disk replacement to anyone who is considering it. Be glad to answer any questions for those who want want info on my experience re: post op, recovery, post op.

  • Hello,

Is there an age limit on ADR? Meaning, do you have to be of a certain age to qualify for ADR? Any studies that show how long ADR is good for?

How bad was the pain after surgery? Did the surgeon go in from the left side or the right side of your neck?
