Last week I would have gladly had the L5 S1 fusion they are planning because I couldn't walk at all and was in incredible pain, this was because I lifted an half full binliner the wrong way (don't ask my why? I was feeling good and forgot). However, having got through that nightmare I am now feeling a lot better again. Still have sciatica in my bottom and top of thighs and some tension in the back, but i no longer require sticks to walk or painkillers to manage it. In light of everything thing I read on here, am I getting off lightly with the minimal pain I have and should I risk this worsening with surgery? before I lifted the bag, on the whole the physio I had been doing had been helping and although I was full of aches from the waist down and some stabbing groin pains, it was all very copable. That is, while I am off work and not doing anything.
Appreciate any comments
