Hi, Boy oh boy, I sure wish I could get some of the medications that I see on this forum. I saw my Ortho Doc today and he again said maybe it's the hardware. I'm having a CT scan to see what's happening in the fusion sites. What really makes me mad is that he pretty much summed me up before he walked in the door. That mad me mad and I told him that I what I thought. I also said that I wanted a different muscle relaxer. I was on Robaxin 2 a day but they were God awful to swallow and the aftertaste made me gag. So, now I'm on Skelaxin. He initially said 800 mg then he changed it to 400 mg 2 a day. I have my CT scan in a day and then in a couple more days we will know what's happening in my back. I don't know about anyone else out there but I'm not a pill popper junkie. I'm not asking for more muscle relaxers so I can sell the Robaxin on the corner. I hate it when doctors have an idea of you and you're the one who has to defend yourself as a patient with pain and pain which he said would be better after the $85,0000 surgery. I told him I was using the pain medication Hydrocodone with tylenol 2-3 a day and also taking Ibuprofen or aspirin to boost it to help it work.. which by the way does not work except for unsetting my stomach. So, IF I have the hardware removed, I was told that 1. It's an overnight stay, home next day. 2. If they go in there and there's a problem, they will do more surgery, maybe another graft if needed. Now that sounds to me like it's not going to be overnight? Anyone else have this option? What did they find.
