I am 36 years of age. 4 years ago I had a neck pain. Went to the doc, and an MRI later my life changed. I have 3 ruptured discs in my neck. You would think this is my worst issue but it isn't.
At the time of my diagnosis I was 32 and to young for a three level fusion. So, off to PM. Script after script and injection after injection, my life was slipping away. I had enough of it and said, let us do this neck surgery thing! So, the doc ordered a mylogram. I had complications, the spinal headache.
I went to the ER, and a doc attempted to place a blood patch while I was in the ER. The most painfull thing I have ever experienced! He could not find my spinal joint and ruptured my disc! L5-s1....too the extent I lost controll of my bladder and bowl. So the day after thanksgiving in 2007 I had a semi-emergent fusion surgery. And my neck is still killing me! After a few months of my low back fusion, another pain attacked me. It feels like glass is trying to poke out of my rear!
I can't describe the pain other than to say, that if you ever fell on your tailbone and thought, OH MY I JUST broke my butt! THAT IS THE FEELING!
so I am now scedule for hardware removal on the 18 of May.
