bone and joint pain

I have DDD and L4/5 disk herniation. I have started having a lot of pain that feels like it is in the bone. I don't know if this is related or not. It is in my right knee, r foot, r hip (may be pregnancy related). My left wrist and the finger joints are also causing me pain. It is mostly the pain in my leg that is causing me the problems. Mostly I don't know what to do. I haven't gotten an appointment with Ortho yet, I am waiting on my insurance to okay it. Does anyone know if this could be related to my back or am I just lucky enough to have new unrelated problems present?

  • Yes. I have pain in my hip area, knee and foot all related to my back. Good luck.
  • Try heating pad for those areas 15 minutes a few times a day or ice if you're walking. I had to get a cane to take the weight off that may help. Being pregnant puts you under the Gyne/OBstetric care also. Where I work there is a Medical Obstetric Dr. who handles all kind of things with Obstetric patients. Good luck. Take care. Charry
DDD of lumbar spine with sciatica to left hip,leg and foot. L4-L5 posterior disc bulge with prominent facets, L5-S1 prominent facets with a posterior osteocartilaginous bar. Mild bilateral foraminal narrowing c-spine c4-c7 RN
  • Thank you very much. I'm not sure if I am happy to hear that or not. I wish I went to a better Dr. I am pretty much giving up talking to OB about anything other than the baby because I have yet to see a Dr.that works there, only NP's and I'm sorry but with everything going on I think I would just prefer a Dr. Gotta love insurance!

I have been thinking about getting a cane because I have to use the walls and my husband to help me walk pretty often. I should be getting into ortho soon and hopefully at least getting into PT
