I hope someone can help me. In March I had a multilevel fusion from c4-5 c5-c6-c6-c7 done with bone graft and plate and screws and am curious how much if any neck movement I might not have after I am out of the Miami collar which I have to wear twelve weeks 24_7. I had only limited mobility to the left and back before surgery so I guess I cant be out a lot. thank you

  • I had ACDF C5-6 C6-7 with allograft plate & screws on March 30th. I wore a Miami J collar for 6 wks...got rid of it last Tuesday. My ROM is about the same as prior to surgery. It may be a little better left to right & a LITTLE less up & down. I expect it to improve since my muscles are still tight. I was very surprised at how easy it was to drive the day my collar came off. I was allowed to take my collar off for meals & move my head a little 2 wks post op but wore it the rest of the day including sleeping & showering. Good luck!
