Hello everyone this looks like an awsome site I am having a 3 level disc fusion performed on July 8th and July 10th they say I will be in the hospital for 10 days and I am not really looking forward to it but at the same time the pain is really limiting me to living a normal life. It is really hard to just get up out of a sitting position without having to walk sideways and in a lot of pain. I would love to hear anything positive from anyone that has had the same surgery and just to maybe make some new friends. :)

  • Welcome to Spine-Health. You're right - this IS an awesome site. The people here are knowlegeable, supportive and try every way they can to help. You'll certainly make some friends here - ones that actually understand what you're going through.

Can you tell us a little more about what's going on with you? From what you say, I assume you're having fusion in your lumbar spine. What levels? Why two surgeries in three days? My questions could go on and on, but you get the point.

If you are thinking that you hear nothing but bad stories here, it's because when people have successful surgeries they oftentimes don't return to these forums because they no longer need the support that they once got here.

Anyway, please let us know a little more about yourself and what's been going on with you. Again, welcome to SH and I look forward to getting to know you.

  • hi and welcome to the forum! :H we are here to offer you support and answer what questions we can. check out the "Back and Neck sugery" forum for more input on your surgery. :? try and stay calm and i know you will have a healthy recovery. :D good luck and keep us posted! Jenny :)
