In the past month I have had two surgeons diagnose my ALIF w/BMP from over a year ago as a "pseudoarthoses" (failed fusion). Both suggest posterior revisions, but have recommended different techniques/hardware. Since I'm doing signficantly worse than pre-fusion, I'm having trouble committing to another major procedure even though my quality of life is pretty lousy now.
I know there are a lot of people that did great after their original fusions, but anyone out there have a pseudoarthoses that did fuse from the revisions? Any secrets to success? Also, anybody regret their revision?
Any input would be greatly appreciated!
