I am looking into this as a form of treatment to prevent a posterior or anterior discectomy. Does anyone have experience with this kind of treatment and does it work?

I can tell you from my experience it did not work for me but I will suggest you try the therapy. I have a few friends that also did the decompression therapy to which they had much improvement.I would try all options available before considering surgery.
    good luck!
  • Hi...I have/had a herniated disc at C6/C7, and I did cervical traction as a part of my conservative treatments. It's been close to 1 year since I initally injured my neck, and I'm about 85% back to full form with no surgery. So...as others will say, try every conservative measure you can first, if you can (sometimes the pain may be so severe it necessitates surgical intervention).

    Best of luck to you.
