13 wks post op MicroD L5S1 new sleep problems

I had my microdiscectomy on 3/3/09. Everything seem perfect. I walked that night in the hospital. I have resumed normal exercise just at a lower intensity. I'm still taking PT once a week.

Recently, I have had real issues with being able to sleep. I have severe lower back pain when I lay down. This causes me to turn over and over which keeps my wife awake. This sleep issue is getting worse. I've tried many different medication to stop the pain or spasm, but it only works for a couple of hours. The only sense of relief is when I elevate my legs. If I could sleep in this position I would, but I can't.

Any advise would be helpful since I m having my 3 mo. follow up on Thursday 3/18.
