Pain around rectum while sitting after l5/s1 fusion

I had a single level fusion at l5/s1 back in 10/08. Ever since, I can barely sit for a few minutes before my rectal area and the surrounding parts of my but start to burn. The surgeon said it's never happened before and it can't be explained. Neurologist's can't find a reason either. I've tried accupuncture, drugs, injections... Has anyone experienced this. Please reply.

  • Sorry, I can't help you with your problem, but do you suppose it could be from meds? I actually have IBS, and only when I get a flare up do I have pain there, so I really just don't know. But, I want to welcome you and hope you will find answers!
