I've been away from this forum for nearly a year because of other health problems that took over my life. Last September I was diagnosed with breast cancer and have had 3 surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation since then. Two weeks ago I finished radiation and began to have neck and upper body pain at nearly the same time. My oncologist ordered an MRI and the good news is that I seem to be completely cancer free! However, the MRI showed that C3-4 needs attention(C4-6 was fused in January '08). I am seeing a specialist tomorrow to ask if there are any options besides surgery for this problem.

  • hi!! :H you certainly said it right when you said " it took over your life!" ~X( i sure hope you are well on the way past recovery and feeling good as far as your cancer goes!! <:P now you are dealing with a possible fusion for your back. ~X( you are wise to be getting a second opinion and don't be afraid to get a third. :? the more information you have the better decisions you can make.. look around the forum and get your feet wet! :D i look forward to reading your posts! :D all the best of luck to you as you face this new struggle! >:D< Jenny :)
  • Kathleen, I'm sorry to hear that you had to go through that but am very happy to hear that you're cancer free. I know you worked hard, but the results were worth it.

Just what you needed, huh? Another health issue to deal with...

I just wanted to say 'Hi' and I'm glad you're back and recovering. I'm sending gentle hugs your way.
