5 month waiting period

I don't understand this rule so much. My caseworker said that I'd get back pay to the date I stopped working, but as I've read on the SS site now and Paul mentioned it too...they deduct 5 months from that? I guess the back pay isn't going to be as high as I thought. However, I have no idea how they will figure my children into this either.

Did most of you get a date that they would re-evaluate your coverage? I saw Jeuxbert said it could be 3,5 or 7 years...so they automatically tell you how long before they review or what?
