I wrote a few days ago about some odd symptoms I was having.....now I had something really odd happen last night I woke up to what felt like a back spasm...never had one before (I had a microdisc. 2 years ago for a herniated disc) I do have an appt with my neuro for next Thurs but I was up all night with terrible pain and all day today. Not with sciatica or leg back just terrible back pain, it's like if I move a certain way the whole back would go out it hurts to move, walk anything!

Neuro won't do anything for me since it's been two years. I called my family dr (he ordered the inital mri) and they gave me some mobic and skelactin (sp) hasn't seemed to help a whole lot.

Any clues....anyone else?

  • i remember we talked the other day about this. i'm glad youre getting mri. hopefully it will rule out nerve pressure from spine. to me it sounds all muscular and rest will ease the pain...
did you take calcium. and drink plenty of water?
  • i have just come out of the shower and whilst toweling off i too had a back spasm it mega painful its like cramp in your calf ..!i have been getting them allot since the last operation ..when i asked the doctor he said it was something to do with the cutting of the muscle during the last operation
  • I had my neuro appt today. Put me on Soma, Ultram. We'll see how that goes.

They do want to do an MRI with contrast to make sure I didn't re-injure myself. That would stink but what can ya do!
