I know that everyone has seen at least one of the several ROCKY movies.
Tonight I watched Rocky Balboa, this was a made for TV movie and which was his last fight (we hope) as this aging warrior going up against a young and brutal fighter. As I was watching this, all the past Rocky movies started to flash by me. How can we forget Rocky punching half sides of cows, running through the streets of Philadelphia and climbing to the top of the steps fists pumping with children jumping all around him.
What was that all about?
It was a person that would never give up. He trained and trained and went against all odds. He went into the ring and was basically bashed around. But in the end, he was still there, still standing and he never gave up.
And that was the overall theme of each of his movies. No matter what obstacle was placed in front of him, he just kept on pushing, working harder and harder to overcome those problems. His rewards were in the ring when he surprised everyone with his performance and showed the world that he could beat almost any odds. No one figured he would last a round, but he stayed in there, at times hitting the ground, taking a step backwards, but he still moved ahead.
Even when everyone figured he could not continue, he did, he beat the odds, he may not have won the matches, but he proved to everyone and to himself just what hard work and determination and never giving up really means.
Now, take that same scenario and apply it to so many of us.
Are we willing to go the distance?
Are we willing to do whatever is necessary to succeed?
Are we willing to stop at nothing to achieve our goal?
Just think about this for a while... Every one of us can also be a Rocky Balboa. We can work hard, we can never give up and we can achieve.
What are we after? A high quality of life in which we can enjoy our family, our loved ones and our friends. There is NOTHING stopping any of us to get there. The only real obstacle we have is ourselves. We can decide NOT to work hard, not to do this or that because its hard and it seems so useless.
No, I will never buy that. Each of us has in ourselves what it takes to get there.
Please if there is any message you get from Spine-Health that should always been remembered, its this one....
NEVER NEVER GIVE UP, YOU CAN DO ANYTHING, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PUT YOUR MIND TO IT.
It may not be easy, there may be a number of setbacks, but still march ahead..
I would love to see all of us thrusting our hands high into the air on top of a long set of stairs.. And what that means is we WonClick here to play Rockys Theme
