Need information on Synovial Cyst on C3-C4

I have had neck pain for about ten months now and it has gotten very bad. I had an MRI and this is the impression of the Radiologist. Approximately 6.0 X 4.0 CM Synovial cyst in the right c3-c4 facet joint with prominent narrowing of the neural foramen. I have an appointment with a neurosurgeon on Wed. I want to know if this is big for one of these cysts? What do they do to remove them ?

  • I had a lipomia (beniegn tumor) removed from my right lower back/hip area some years back. I am not certain what type of cyst you have but I can tell you it was like magic (to quote) to have it removed - it had created alot of pain and it was just what was needed to relieve me of that pain.

  • Can you feel the cyst on the outside? I mean if you run your hands down the back of your neck - can you feel the lump? I guess it would depend on it's location.

    thanks pfm
