Hi, newbie here. I have a long (30 yr) history of bad headaches, starting when I fell over backwards during a yoga shoulderstand. Severe flexion injury. Have been going to a chiro 2-3x a week forever. Now I'm wondering about some intervention surgery. Anyone have any experience in occipital injections? Or implanted nerve stimulators?

  • Welcome to Spine Health. Wow 30 years of headaches, that has got to stink in a major way! Have the docs been treating you for this with anything other than chiropractic manipulation? Surgical intervention of any type unless to prevent nerve damage or other serious issues, is generally left as a last resort. There are so many ways to treat headaches, even to jump from chiropractic manipulation to surgical intervention is a big move. What type of headaches do you get? How long do they last? What sets them off? Has the doc done any type of diagnostic testing to help diagnose the type or trigger for the headaches?

Sorry for the handful of questions, but it helps get a better idea to give you a more meaningful reply.
