woke up skin on fire

AnonymousUserAAnonymousUser Posts: 49,622
For the first time ever, I woke up in the middle of the night with the real feeling my face, neck, shoulders, arms and later thighs were on fire. The face was the worst, my lips checks felt puffed up. I felt I was going to burst into flames. Placed wet towels and ice, after twenty min and one advile. I began to feel it fade away and for first time could feel the overhead fan and airconditioner. Also felt nife like pain (like when your frozen and thaw out) needle like pricks in my legs. I am mid fifty's, good health, this scared me.

  • The same thing happened to me, but it was limited to my upper back. Doctor said that it's nerve pain and gave me Neurontin, but the only thing that I have found that helped is Solarcaine. It felt like a bad sunburn so I treated it that way. It hasn't gone away completely, but it's getting better. If you learn anymore about it, please share it with me.
