Percutaneous disc nucleoplasty?

I am scheduled for C5/C6 Percutaneous disc nucleoplasty in 3 weeks. My pain doctor is performing it. |I already tried cervical epidural as well as bilateral facet injection and no luck. Had an EMG and it came back with nerve compression from C5/C6. I am looking for feedback on this procedure.

Has anyone tried this yet? What results? What risks?

  • Which is better, Percutaneous disc nucleoplasty OR dekompressor discectomy?
  • hi patrick...boy i thought i posted to you earlier but i guess it went into cyberspace...i've read about the PDN and advertising claims 65% of patients feel reduced pain. one thing hit me however. some patients ended up paralyzed because dr hit the spinal nerves with his percutaneous tool. if your pm dr is doing this surgery and it is surgery you best find out what % get paralyzed. i think i'd want surgeon doing surgery.
sorry i know nothing about discompressor.....
