I am looking for anyone who has had experience with the VATS (video assistd thoracic surgery) approach for the thoracic spine.
I have finally gotten in with Dr. John Regan in California who helped to pioneer the procedure in the early 90's. I have multiple herniations in the neck and thoracic spine all verified as pain generators. I believe that the thoracic spine is causing the major pain.
All in all I have C7-T1, T1-2, T3-4, T6-7, and T11-12. The pain is so severe and intractable that I have lost the will to live.
I will be having T3-4, and T6-7 definately fused and possibly T11-12. I know that thoracic herniations are rare ,pain causing ones are even more rare, and this procedure is even more rare. If anyone has had any experience with it please share it here or PM me.
