So Helpful; Neurologist Want Do New M.R.I.

I have been diagnosed with a slipped vertabrae in my neck and had L45 minimal disectomy. I had a fall and made the neck worse and the problems reoccur from my back. The neck is causing me to have pain on my right side of neck down through my shoulder, into my tricep and down in my fingers. The right leg and buttocks hurt, all the way down to my foot. After the fall the doctor placed me on 3500 neurontin, valium, hydrocodone, adderall, and ambien; he never told me that neurontin would cause depression and that since I donated a kidney in 2006 that I shouldn't take neurontin. I attempted suicide three times and finally was told it was the neurontin. I have applied for disability, but feel horrible about having to do so. I took on a part time job and did some work, until a sign in one of the stores came loose and hit me in the face knocking me into a wall. When I went to the neurologist and told him of my history, he just scheduled me for a pain management doctor. I have not had an MRI on my back since May of 2008, the fall happened in June and this sign falling happened on the 11th. Why would the doctor not want to do a new MRI; even after I asked for one. I would think he would want to see the situation from the MRI. I am on workmens comp for the first time in my 48 years and have facial damage and my neck and back feel the a little worse than normal. I am not a taker, I am a giver and had done a lot of fundraising in my state from my art. Will the pain management doctor be able to do a MRI? I just don't know what to do and how to handle this; I cannot afford to pay for any tests. My lawyer for disability told me that working would hurt me but it was only for a couple of hours a week. I now cannot work. Please someone school me on all of this.
