My doc does want to try me on morphine time release. I'm worried about it because after surgeries, it does not work for me, never has. What if it doesn't work? She said if not, the next step up is oxy. I worry that those drugs will make me goofy, or unable to drive, or function. What do they do to you all? I take the lortab now and they don't affect me at all other than alleviate my nerve pain for about 4 hours.
I have another question, I have always had my pain confined to my back, hip, and the nerve part runs down my ass and leg. My toes are numb on both feet and I get injections in my right hip every 3 months or so of a steroid which does help that pain a lot. I have this new thing in my arm. It is barely above my elbow and thru it and partway down towards my hand. It started out feeling like a tendon, but different, now it feels like nerve pain and if I touch my skin it feels like exposed nerves in that area. What do ya suppose that is from??? I know I have a couple other blown discs in my upper back but there is not a chance in hell I will have another surgery. Do you think this arm thing could be from that? Yes, I know I will talk to my doc about it when I see her again in a couple weeks, just wondered if anyone had any idears..
