well I got my return to work note from my primary care doctor today….even though he insisted I should not go as I am not ready to go yet or if I should ever do it again … been in the six month cycle for the past 5 years …. Go to work in pain and hurting stay for 6 months build up time to reinstate benefits …… back flairs up chiropractor and series of doctors and meds ….. Most times by the time I have to go back I can somewhat deal with it for a bought 1 or2 months before it starts to get nasty… …. We will see this time I know I can’t but I have to do it 6 months …… come on February…. Lol… I have applied to social security …. So far those wonderful people are still doing the waiting game…..

  • so if you get ill within 6 mos. of going back to work there are no benefits! now if you remained out now how long would benefits continue?
  • Well done you this is fantastic news going back to work is always a lift and makes us feel included for the isolation of the pain. Pace well and only tell those at work who need to know and can help you in the future. I was away from work for a long long time and we need to give ourselves time and space on our return.I changed jobs, never simple or easy.

    Good Luck John
  • 4 laminectomies done 7 mos ago. awoke from surgey with no feeling except pain in left foot, foot wanted to lay to the left.Have foot drop and the feeling of walking on marbles, swelling and pain on top of foot in the eve.Doctor so far has had a wait and see approach, but I am getting more concerned as time goes on that this will be permanent. Has anyone experienced this? Any options?
