Back feels like it's going to break.
I just joined spine-health after spending a couple of days reading everything I could about the spine. Let me tell you my situation.
About 7 years ago, I started having pain right behind my knee. It felt as if the muscle was being twisted. I endured this pain for 8 months (after several Doctor visits - he kept telling me that it was a muscle and I just had to walk it out - he did an Xray but that didn't show anything). I was still in high school at this time, and one day while bending to reach some textbooks my back locked up. It was the worst pain I had ever experienced. I ended up having emergency surgery on L4 and L5 because they were pinching the cauda equina. The surgery was successful and I had no complications.
Just a month ago my boyfriend and I moved to Tbilisi Georgia to teach here for a couple of years. The country is beautiful, but the health care system is lacking - which makes me very worried. A few days ago I started experiencing some mild pain down my left leg (same leg as before my surgery). Of course this worried me quite a bit but because it was mild, I decided to just ignore it. Every day it kept getting a bit worse - and now I have this still relatively mild (compared to the pain I was in the 8 months prior to the surgery) located at the back of my thigh and buttocks. Mostly in the left side, although I did notice some pain in the right side as well today. I'm also experiencing some mild spasms in my buttocks and legs. Also, my lower back feels weak - when I walk, it feels like it'll fall apart if I don't hold it. It's a very odd feeling - anyone know what I'm talking about? I'm due in for an MRI tomorrow but I can't sleep - all I keep thinking about is the "what if".
I would really appreciate it if you could shed some light on this weak back feeling - I couldn't find anything on the internet about it.
