and a legit need for these meds for a monacome of releif???

drugs, nor do i drink alch,,what is going on in this country?? i thought that dr's were suppost to help the sick & injured ,but all i see is their, affraid of losing their licences to practice medicine???i hurt bad, can hardly stand, what do i do???

  • I too would like to say welcome.

I am not familiar with the VA. Is there a pain management department within the VA hospital? A lot of doctors now refer their patients to docs who specialize in pain management, which actually is very beneficial to the patient. Maybe you can pursue this avenue.

Generally it seems that most people on this site are able to get adequate pain control medications, so keep looking for a doctor who can help you.

Surviving chronic pain one day at a time, praying for a reprieve because living another 40 years like this doesn't sound too fun!
  • Is there any way at all that you could get a private PM doc? Depending on what type of meds you need it may not be very expensive. I take narcotics and opiates. I see my PM doc once every three months. The methadone is extremely inexpensive ( under $10 per month) and the percocet and baclofen are also very inexpensive. I agree with you that folks with legitimate pain should not have to suffer. Good luck and please keep us posted.
