I am new to this site and I must say that it has been very helpful. I had acdf c5-6 c6-7 with hip bone graft and titanium plate on 7-27. For 6 weeks after surgery I was doing great. I started pt after 1 wk post op. I returned to work after 6 wk with restrictions. Within the 1st wk I started having shoulder pain. Also at the 4 wk ckup with ns xray showed one screw to be crooked because it had gone into soft bone but ns said that was fine. had another mri 12 wks post op and ns pa called me and said the mri looked good and they would be scheduling me for an emg and nerve conduction test. Has anyone else had this type of problem. this is a work comp case and i guess i'm confused as to why they want to do this test. Unless the plate moved a little and is causing the c5 nerve root to be impinged.

  • Please ignore my first posting. I received a call from the ns office and it seems as though they had 2 patients with the same first name come in that day so they mixed up our files. The other patient with the same first name as mine is the one who needs this test. I am being referred to an ortho who specializes in shoulders to consider me for an injection of my proximal tendon. Thanks
