I leave in one hour for the hospital for my surgery. I'm starting to get nervous and stressed. I hurt my back 4 months ago picking up a bottle of shampoo, believe it or not. When the back pain went away I was left with nerve damage on my left leg and severe foot drop. I finally had an mri two weeks ago and have herniations on two levels. I was told that the foot drop may never go away and I will have to wear my leg brace the rest of my life. Has anyone else had this happen, and had the foot drop corrected? I would so love to be able to go hiking and play tennis again; I'm only 48.
Glad to have found this forum; look forward to any comments in a couple days when i'm home from the hospital.
