If anyone needs to know anything about the "least invasive" surgery Axialif. Please post or contact me. I have first hand information for anyone willing to listen. I'm highly dissappointed with the results and as each day passes, I wish more and more I never had the procedure. My e-mail is ...

  • I already have 2 lumbar posterior fusions at L5-S1 and at L4-L5.
I suffer from chronic pain if I stand or sit too long.
It actually feels totally arthritic especially at L5-S1 as the pain evem raidiates into the pelvic girdle at times.
This all started 20+ yrs ago when I got a protruding disc at L5-S1.
First came a laminectomy as I was left (still today) with long standing low back axial type pain.
I feel like I want to "bust the fusions apart.
My body doesn tlike to be fused there and as a result I am always lying on m back and 'bridging up' arching my back in an effort to isolate and stretch the fusions apart. I actually get pain relief when I do this extreme tugging to the fusions.
Anhyhow I am considering doing a double axialif at 2 levels in an attempt to provide anterior stabilization to my old fusions. I am always leaning backward trying to pull aprat the fusions.
The surgeons say the Axialif will not make me any worse. It will either help or not do anything.
  • I've had 5 back surgeries , everything from simple to fusions . What is anyone's info on the Axialif surgery ?
