back pain

hi, I have chronic lower back pain, sacrailitis, facet
joint pain and also pain in my right hip that was diagnosed
as bursa. Anyway, lately I've been having numbness in the
front of my right thigh, also in my right shin and toes of my right foot. I sometimes get pain in my shin and foot.
My regular doctor said that it's coming from my back.
I'm going for acupunture and it helps a little. I also
have pain from my bursa which affects my right thigh. I'm
seeing my PM doctor next Friday. My last MRI was Jan.'07.
I hope to find out what's happening to me next week.
Does anybody have any ideas. I would appreciate it.
thanks, dorothy

  • that your doc is probably right. I have very strange places go numb and it is caused by my back. The outside of my right ankle goes numb and it just feels like there is a chunk missing between my shin and foot when I walk. Very strange feeling. Hopefully your PM doc will be able to confirm or deny the problem next week. Good luck.
