HI folks well im writing to you from hospital i got admited wensday by my surgon he reopened me thursday afternoon washed me out now im on iv drip 4 times a day untill monday when blood test will be done to see if im clear if not my iv treatment i dont wont to worry ppl but we have to say it as it is the second time they cut you is way way more painfull than the actual fusion op itself iv had 2 drains in my back for 48 hrs after wash out and they hurt like hell when they took them out iv had 2 really rough night's with pain but now them drains are gone im startin to feel more comfortable but still very sore but least im being sorted out ill let you lot no when im home thanks for all the post replys and such like latters Tready

  • I know how that feels. But the great thing for me was once the iv's were finished, and I was able to go home, the second incision healed very fast. Probably bc the infection was gone. I hope you continue to feel better and get some rest.

    never had it done,but sounds like hell of lot of pain.so glad it worked out good.
    your stong to have gone thru all of that.
    you'll be in my thoughts and rest well i wish ya the best with everything.
    one day at a time.
    neck,bone spurs pain started 04, back issues and fusion l4,l5 06~hardware removed.
    good few yrs. 09 pain sharp, numbness feet,legs, diagnosed fibro, neurop. legs.lung issues.
    daily goal do good thing for someone.

    I know you will be much more comfortable when you are released from the hospital and back in your own bed -- Nothing like your own bed!

    Again, sending you healing and comforting thoughts -- hang in there -- won't be much longer and you'll be back home.

  • I'm sorry to hear about your ordeal, but like Paul said, it's fantastic that you went when you did. Now you can get that crud out of you and begin the recovery.

    L1 - S2 "gone" useless in 1 way or another. DDD. RA. Bone Spurs. Tons of nerve damage/issues. Stenosis. Both knees replaced. 50 yrs old. I had a great fall (hence my user name) at age 41 and it has been a domino effect every since.
  • to hear that the treatment was so painful, but thank goodness you went and got it checked out when you did. I hope your tests come back clean on Monday and you can go home.
