Hi All Hope u are having a pain free day!
I posted this on another site and most people found it eye opening and helpful. I know I did.
Have a great day!!!

  • I have a friend who's been diagnosed with FM, but is not computer-literate. She asked me to print something off about FM which would help her.

Having just read your list, I'm quite certain it'll help. It's very comprehensive and oddly-enough, whilst she was talking to me, she said she'd had 6 weeks without any symptoms, but thought it might be starting up again. She kept repeating how cold her hands and feet were!!

    Thank you for posting this.

  • Your very welcome Val.
I am glad your friend had a remission period it is nice to have those times. That is what I look forward too or even just my good days. Currently in midst of 3 month flare myself.
I hope your friend has some pain free days soon and finds the list helpful.

    Rhonda :)
  • Thanks for the list -- that was an eye opener -- I am currently trying to get a diagnosis for whatever is going on with my body. I can tell you after reading that list and checking off all the ones that have happened to me over the past year, I would guess that I do have fibro.

Yesterday was a pretty okay day but today I'm exhuasted and pushing myself to get things done.

I lost my job in May due to severe sciatic which has since improved tremendously. I want to look for a job but I'm not my old self. I don't think I could hang onto a job until I get this "undiagnosed pain in my rear end" taken care of. It's so frustrating.

What protocol are you on for your fibro if you don't mind me asking a personal question?

    Thanks again,

  • HI
Sorry u are not feeling well. But if you think it is Fibro it probably is as long as Dr has ruled out other things that may mimic some symptoms such as lupus, ms etc...
I currently take Tramadol, flexeril, topamax for migraine prevention, Azor for HBP and headache prevention it is a calcium blocker, trazadone for sleep, Multi vit with Iron and Vit D capsule. Effexor XR and Zanax prn Both for Depression and anxiety.
Also Back Pain Specialist just added percocet for BT pain for my back and leg pain. Going to have another set of floruscopic steroid injections soon.
I have tried Lyrica for Fibro bad side effect for me blurry vision.
One word of advise you do not have to have a specialist ie Rheumy just a good doctor who will listen to you and work with you.
    Good Luck! Gentle Hugs
  • That was quite a list and quite an eye opener! Thank you! I was diagnosed about 4 months ago by a Rheumatologist.

I don't have nearly all those symptoms on the list, thank goodness! What happens with me most frequently is extreme muscle-joint pain all over my body, worst in the morning usually. This along with not being able to think clearly (Fibro Fog).

In some respects its kind of like having the flu without the fever. I'll be 58 yrs old the 26th of this month. I am very thankful for my wife of nearly 36 yrs. She sure helps! I don't deserve all she has done for me!

    Thanks again for the list!
