Tenative Surgery Date

My surgery date has been tenatively set for December Seventh. I'm having a two level fusion, probably using my own bone, as I have Osteopenia. I won't know for sure until the Pre-Op appointment. Fusing C5/6 & C 6/7.

To say I'm nervous would be an understatement, but I am so tired of feeling aweful, that I'm looking forward to it as well.

I'm trying to finish Christmas shopping and wrapping, and gather the things I need after surgery.

  • You will not be able to do much before Christmas if you have your surgery on the 7th so get everything done that you can then let everyone else help take care of you for a while.

As long as you are prepared, have a good surgeon and a positive attitude there is nothing to worry about! My surgery was not too much different and I have not taken meds since 3 weeks postop! You will do great! =D>
