Okay, so I need some advice here! I am 2 months post op from a 360 fusion- and am in PT 3x a week. Back in June 09 when i started PT my supervisor at work told me to schedule it early in the morning or late in the afternoon. (okay fine, but sometimes the only option I have it what the PT has available) keep in mind that this workers comp. My work hours are 8A-5P - my appt was scheduled for 10:30A- supervisor not too happy......so when I got back to work from PT, I had a written warning email from HR and cc'd my supervisor that I am to schedule my PT on my own time and that was their company policy........My then PT would stay from 5:15P-7P 3xs a week to work with me. Oh I didnt mention that he was in the final stages of bone cancer!! (He was an amazing inspiration!) I contacted my wc adjuster to ask her about this, she said the OK law doesn't cover this and that they (WC) will not pay for procedures, dr visits or PT?!?!?!? WHAT THE HELL?? So I made it work!! However, one week after my surgery my PT passed away and I was sent to a different facility. Here is my problem...... There hours are the same as my work hours. I have be released to return to work but was told I have several restrictions plus I have 6-7 weeks more of PT! What do I do? I have left 3 messages with wc adjuster- no return call. I am at a loss and feel in limbo!! The NS office explained that even though I am released to return to work, the adjuster will look at the continued treatments, and restrictions and then will decide if I continue with TTD (temp total disibility) or return to work.
So what is your advice- what would you do if this were you??
