After Years of non surgical treatment and yearly PT I have reached the end of those options. C5/C7 Severe stenosis arm\hand weakness \ shoulder migrains etc. I accepted the procedure as a solution I put of to long perhaps. Now i'm frankly scared.

Me 50 years old Cervical thoratic and lumbar stenosis; progressive polyneuropathy, Bilateral foot drop, quad weakness, knee instability. A few orthopedic joint repairs.

I read thur a lot of posts regarding recovery time, and expectations understanding that everyone is different. Six weeks ago I had tendon and ligiment repairs to my right ankle recovered pretty well. Hopeing this repair will also treat me well.

Working everyday and some travel.

    Hi Bryand:

I had a C5-C7 ACDF in 2006. This was one of the easier surgical procedures I've had in terms of low amount of post-op pain. They don't go through muscle so you don't get the type of pain involved in some other involved joint surgeries.

Will you be wearing a brace post-op? Any discussion around wearing a bone growth stimulator after? I had a brace (actually felt it helped) and a bone growth stimulator I wore for 4 hr per day for about 3 months.
