Ok so i had a laminectomy on June 31 2009, everything was going well. I had my bad days and my good days. I finished my PT everything has been fine until about a month ago. I started having the lower back pain start all over, except this time it is lower. I blamed it on having a overfull schedule and the cold weather, then the week of thanksgiving i went in for my check up with my specialist and he told me i have swelling at the base of my spine and he doesnt know why. He said the swelling is below where they did surgery so he cant explain it, all he told me was to ice and keep doing my excersises and he will see me in 3 months. WHAT THE HECK! now the pain is exactly how it was right before i had surgery. Has anyone else had anything like this happen to them? It feels like the pain has gotten alot worse alot faster, I just dont know what is normal and what is not! Any advise or ideas would be appriciated thanx
