This is like the first time that i join an forum so i'm not sure what to do so i'll start with the basics
I'm 27 ... i've had my back problem for 6 years now ... god it feels too long
I have lumbar herniated disc ... lately things have been worse, the first 3 years i was at the university, i can hardly recall things being that bad, i was really active my back pain didn't flare up frequently and it rarely resonated down my buttocks to my legs
Things changed when i started working 3 yrs ago ... my job is office based and i'm almost always sitting for 8-9 hrs a day and i got married 1 year ago and have been working 6 days a week for 4 months now... so basically i have to balance work and house work i can't get help cause i have one day off ...my husband tries to help around as much as he can but it's not enough ... due to this my back pain increased and became frequent ... the latest episode was 3 weeks ago ... i couldn't sit ... i was in pain all the time pain traveled down both my legs and after 10 days sick leave i didn't feel better for the first time ... i'm back at work i feel pain all the time in my lower back and butt ... the back of my knees hurts and my ankle too and due to the fact that i have a poor posture and i'm using my laptop frequent my neck, shoulders, upper back hurt in addition to my left arm and wrist sad enough my husband has a similar condition to mine and has been in pain during the past week but just told me because he didn't want me to worry ... i work it a horrible place and i'm always stressed and irritated and there is no place to go ... my parents haven't been well lately and they are getting really old and i have not been able to take care of them and i feel so guilty on top of all that ...

  • My first thought is whether or not you have had an MRI yet? I highly recommend you see your doctor and have one ordered if you have not.

    Best wishes to you,

  • I hope you have a referral to a Neurosurgeon or Orthosurgeon to let you know your options to help deal with your pain, Perhaps you should check out your disability benefits at work or one that allows you to be a caregiver for your parents. Take care. Charry
