I am 25 years of age and had back surgery when I was 19. The surgery was Micro surgery. All the surgery did for me was allowed me to keep the use of my left leg and take the pain away that was being caused by my sciatica nerve. I had a portion of a disk removed between my L3 or L4 cannot remember which one. First off the Doctor made a mistake when pulling the knife out and cut my spinal membrane. Not a pleasant experience for me. But, before the surgery was done I asked him if I need to do physical therapy afterwards and he said no I did not. I now feel that he was wrong.
Since then I have continued to live with back pain but not that sciatica kind of pain. Just, all around lower back pain. All that my regular Doctor does is gives me pills and sends me to physical therapy. I do not like taking pain pills and the therapy does nothing.
Symptoms of my back pain are quite simple I think.
• Sitting, standing, moving, and laying all make it worse
• Sensitive to the touch more so around the scare. This includes the lower spine(bone)
• Do not know if this ties in with it but every once in awhile a tingling feeling below the right shoulder blade
So, my question now is, what do I do next?
