I am new here....I am going to have a level 2 spinal fusion. My doctor recommends a 360. I am soooooo nervous. Please give me some reinsurance so I don't chicken out and cancel the surgery.

  • Welcome to Spine Health. I think you'll find it very comforting to be here and a place full of information, compassion and experience. Also keep in mind that the majority of members are still dealing with "issues" even if they've had surgery. So there may be those who post that will frighten you. I can tell you that these folks all mean well and only want to make certain that you are informed and have exhausted all conservative measures appropriate to your situation.

There are many successful multilevel 360's. There are also many that exhibit problems. Please keep in mind that there are many risks and many risk factors that contribute to successful or unsuccessful outcomes.

Can you tell us a little about what led to your problems, what levels you are looking at having fused, how long you have dealt with this, what type of conservative treatments you have been through, as well as the type of diagnostic testing your doc has had done. This information will help others to relate their specific experiences with yours and provide you a better understanding of what they have been through.

Once again Welcome to Spine Health.
