Just wanted to offer encouragement to everyone out there going through this. I had an anterior fusion that was unsuccessful, subsequent posterior 4-7. I have a plate in front, and rods etc. in the back. My last surgery was a year ago. Still on Hydrocodone twice a day; working hard at PT; and had my first electro-acupuncture treatment today. I'm living a very active, full life but am still in pain every day and want to work towards lessening the pain meds required. Just know what a LONG recovery it is, but that life does get better, and that you're not alone.

If anyone has questions or needs advice I'd love to help. Hang in there . . . one day at a time.
