Hi, I have been reading so many post with unhappy endings that I thought I share one happy one. I am now 22 days post op and feeling great. Herinated L5 in June 09 mountain biking. No feelings in toes on my left foot. The worst casr of sciatica. Had operation and was up and walking same night albeit for only 15 minutes. Day 16...back to gym to get on eplictical training machine. Some tightness in my calf for 1st three days but then all little pains disappeared. Hope to be back on the ski slopes by week 7. Time will tell on this so far happy journey.

  • Great news! Did the numbness go away for you? i am thinking of surgery and want to hear more stories like yours.
  • That's great to hear about your positive recovery from surgery. It's very encouraging for others who will need surgery. Everyone's recovery is different but it's nice to hear your success story. Let us know how it goes on the slopes. Take care. Charry
