As some of you know, today I hosted a party for my dd12's birthday. I definitely overdid it, but don't feel too bad (yet). My mother and MIL both had to keep telling me to stop and let someone else take care of whatever I was doing.

It was nice to see everyone, including family from out of state and an old friend from high school whom I rarely get to see.

  • Karen...I'm so glad that it went well! I remember when my girl turned 12. She's 20 now and just cut off all her beautiful hair to donate it for kids with cancer. 12 is a wonderful age for girls (to me).

sorry you overdid it, though we both knew you would! ha ha. I did too. And today, I got scolded for it. In a way for me it made sense. having had cervical surgery and then last weeks accident, I should be home. Not in a car for almost 7 hours total. any bit of whiplash...might have meant another surgery. yeah...my friend lit into me like fire to kindling!

sometimes overdoing when so many get pleasure from what you do, and you've been productive feels "good". It hurts but it does the heart a world of good doesn't it. and now the party is over.
    So, spiney friend....REST!!!!!!

If I don't hear from you before New Year's, may the new year bring you complete healing and health, joy and all that has been destined for you and your family!
