Could anyone provide info as to what can be determined on a ct scan with contrast taken at 10 weeks. Can scar tissue or inflammation be seen?

  • I AM NOT A MEDICAL PERSON. However when I had to go to ER after an accident 6 weeks out of surgery the doc at ER said there was swelling and a contusion with possible bleeding.

Maybe they can tell. are you well?????

  • I didn't have an accident but could not tolerate the burning pain all through my leg They did a ct scan with contrast looking perhaps for a large herniation but said they could not see that but it was difficult to see much due to the hardware and because of re something.Sorry I started gabapentin and can't remember things. They said to call my surgeon. I'm hoping he can determine what is going on if I ever hear from him.
  • It took them long time to do a CT and the MRI I had after my first back surgery. The screws do mess with the picture. In any case my NS could see enough to know he needed to open me back up.
