My brother also has low back issues and can't handle pain meds like vicodin so he lives on tylenol or motrin (not sure which) and he swears by Glucosamine and Chondroitin. I bought some yesterday cuz I had a coupin for $6 off.

I was just wondering if anyone has tried it and if they noticed whether it helped or not. Do you know if it interacts with any of the meds that we spiney's take for pain? It didn't have an insert with it or any warnings about what meds not to take with it.

  • As far as I know, there is no interaction. Just be aware that it can take at least one month, if not longer, before you may notice any positive results.
  • Thanks Gwennie. It must be that I am may be catching a cold or something.

I did as on the box thta it can take 4-6wks before you notice the effects of the medicine.

I figured it can't hurt plus it has extra vvitamin b and C.

I've been using Glucosamine and Condroitin for over 10 years now. I can see a difference in my joint pain with or without
    Glucosamine and Condroitin.
It does take a while to take effect, but it has been one of the OTC's that all my doctors have told me to use

  • but I didn't notice a real difference and with the cost I decided to discontinue. My doc said that combo was good for knee problems, but not so much the back region. (just his opinion) I hope you have good luck and notice a difference. I do take fish oil and have noticed it helps with inflammation.
  • Costco usually has a big bottle you can get there also. I like it and I feel like it can only help. I take a big one twice a day from Costco. Take care!
