Hi all,

I am having the procedure, Kyphoplasty Tuesday morning, where they inject cement into my fractured vertebra. I am so nervous tonight, but hope and pray this works because I am still in allot of pain.

  • Dear Mindy,

I am saying prayers that this procedure goes well and will rid you of the fracture pain.

Please let us know how your procedure went and how you are feeling, when you are able to type.

    Wishing you a speedy recovery,

  • Was at the hospital about 8 hours. Had a hard time coming out of the medicines they put me to sleep with, but it all worked out. I have immediate relief from the pain from the fractured vertebra. I do have problems with my ribs now from Osteoporosis which was brought on by the fracture. I have to call my Dr. tomorrow. I don't know if workers comp will cover that or not. My spine wasn't like this before. I am glad to be out of pain from the other though. :)
  • I am glad to hear you received immediate relief from the procedure.

This is great news to hear.

I was planning on asking my surgeon about my ongoing rib pain, during my next visit. It has never let up, at all, since my fall.

I wish you the best and thanks for sharing. Keep us posted with how you are doing.

  • Very glad to hear that you are feeling so much better now, and that you were able to go home so soon afterwards.

Hoping that you continue to improve and that rib problems will improve now too.

    Take care.
